Petya

Toncheva

Petya Toncheva founded Design Atelier Toncheva, Inc. in 2020, bringing with her a decade of experience in New York City — one of the world’s most demanding and design-forward markets — and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

A CIDQ-certified interior designer and professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Petya was recognized in 2017 as the winner of an ASID emerging designers competition for best kitchen design, juried by award-winning designer Nate Berkus.

Her approach is thoughtful and deeply collaborative. She listens carefully to understand not just a client’s aesthetic preferences, but the spirit of their home and the rhythms of their daily life. The result is interiors that feel both beautifully considered and unmistakably personal.

Petya’s work emphasizes space, light, and function — whether bold or restrained, her solutions are always grounded in elevated style and subtle elegance. Her hands-on involvement from first concept to final detail reflects her genuine commitment to every project and every client.

She works with a trusted network of architecture firms and industry partners to ensure a seamless, transparent process from start to finish.

Current projects include private residences in New York City, Greenwich, and Boston. The team is also working on the renovation of a historic house in Brussels, Belgium.
